What is a HydraFacial™ ?

A HydraFacial is a multistep facial treatment offered at medical spas. During this procedure, a specialized handheld device that resembles a wand brushes over the surface of your skin. This tool uses an exfoliating tip and suction to remove dirt and dead skin cells. After resurfacing the skin, the wand delivers rejuvenating serums selected to suit your skin type. The device serves to exfoliate, extract, cleanse, and hydrate. The HydraFacial is unique in that it works in three distinct steps:

Step 1: Cleanse & Peel

Uncover a new layer of skin with gentle exfoliation and relaxing resurfacing. Many compare this to an electric toothbrush softly pressing against the skin.

Do’s & don’ts before getting a HydaFacial

While our technicians are highly trained and able to handle any and all skin types, here are a few tips we recommend to get the most out of your treatment.

1 – Skip any strong at-home skin care treatments and exfoliation. This will help ensure your skin is well protected and not over-treated.

2 – Skip the tanning bed, or any extreme outside tanning. (And always opt for that high SPD sunscreen!)

3 – Ensure your technician knows if you’re on any medications, have any medical concerns or sensitive skin. 

4 – And do make sure to drink lots of water before and after your facial. Hydration is key!

What can I expect after getting a HydraFacial™ ?

You’re on your way to your best skin ever! And while everyone’s skin is different, your results will be fantastically unique to you! You may find that your skin has a bit of irritation, tightness, or redness. These are all completely normal reactions and nothing to be concerned about. Most of those will typically resolve themselves within 72 hours depending on skin sensitivity.
